  1. Your analysis of the first problem is faulty. The difficulty with White playing Nd4 immediately is a1=Q which pins the knight. If Black plays KxN as you suggest then White plays Bxe7. If a1=Q then Bf6+ wins the queen and the game. If Black tries Ke5 to control f6 then Bf8.

  2. 2/5
#2 was a VERY creative way to force a draw. Great job Jerry

  3. liked all 5 puzzles very much 🙂 because i didnt get even one of them -.-
    great video!

  4. wait i dont get #2 what if the king moves down to a7

  5. @ghfreakwierdo123 If Nc7+ Ka7 then Qxa5 forces Kb8, where playing Qb6+ is mate (after the bishop interposes and is taken.

  7. Had trouble with #2, as I kept looking for a way for white to win.

  8. That is the best chunk of combinations I have ever seen in my whole chess life. Jerry <3

  9. @DiamondDaveLeeRoth Kc2 after Nd2 will result in the same stalemate for black as if you played Ka2, because following Nxb3 and Kxb3 black is left with no possible moves.

  10. In the third problem after white plays h4, gxh4 is not forced. Black draws with Be6+. and no matter what white plays black will be playing gxh4 on the next move eating white's last pawn and white will not be able to mate him. It looks to me that white will have to play carefully to even draw. ex Kxe6 gxh4 and it is 6 pawns against the bishop. A couple of sloppy moves by white and he could lose. Love your videos.

  11. @xenophon58 White still wins. Kf6 & Be7-f8#

  12. In the 3rd puzzle, is it not also possible to win by playing Bf6 (or Be7) instead of moving the pawn forward? Black is forced to play g4 to prevent mate, and then white can push his pawn to promotion since blacks pawn blocks the view of the bishop.

  13. I didn't solve any puzzles, but they were fun ponder upon. Could happily announce mate in 6! when that 5th position appeared in one of my blitz games. Impressed my opponent.

  14. I'm seeing all of these solutions, but I can assure you I lose from position 4. I give myself 3 moves before getting my king and queen forked.
