is being a god in tactics a good way to improve? trying to get 3000k plus in puzzles and just hit 2600. still total noob I geuss but after that i wanna focus on openings and strategy.
Know end games give you more possibilities in attack that only go for mate
Far too many little techniques to remember, and each of them very unlikely to occur. This sort of thing is why I have for so long not played chess, and why I'll never be any good at it.

I think your teaching would be better if you went over all of the bad scenarios first, and then went over the solution. Not the other way around.

I made up my mind to get an endgame education. It’s a great area of the game to study. Levy’s training videos are so valuable toward expanding my capabilities. A great resource for subscribers.
I am having a hard time with the Vancura position, because it is shown from the perspective of white but you play it as black. Messes me up to turn the board around to get the black point of view and then make it work.
