Magnus Carlsen is a is a Norwegian chess grandmaster who is the reigning five-time World Chess Champion, four-time World Rapid Chess Champion, and six-time World Blitz Chess Champion. Carlsen has held the No. 1 position in the FIDE world chess rankings since 1 July 2011 and trails only Garry Kasparov in time spent as the highest-rated player in the world. His peak rating of 2882 is the highest in history. He also holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak at the elite level in classical chess.
He became a grandmaster at the age of 13, the second youngest in history at the time, and quickly established himself as a rising star in the world of chess. Damn, Maggy makes this rook ending look so easy, even against a 3100+ player🤔…What's your secret, Maggy? Curious minds want to know…Anyway, got a lot out of this ending.
I know that the position is equal at the beginning of the game but here it was equal even towards the end. How could Magnus win so convincingly? I thought that Dubov can handle this. I do not know him very well what is is rating and so on but it is a famous name in chess so how on earth he wasn’t able to play this. Even I wouldn’t be much worse and would loose it too probably.
Those moves he made at around 2:01 – I've never really seen that sort of thing before.
