If we have to remove some sports from the Olympics we should start with tennis or football or any other sport that already saturates our TV the whole year
Olympic medals are quickly becoming less and less prestigious. The Olympics are oversaturated, weaker athletes are participating in non agonistic sports, making a fool of themselves and their country (raygun).
I think simplifying the olympics would make it a lot more popular.

Controversial opinion: i think the Olympics should be for "athletic" events, not for "games". In games i include anything played with a ball. Adults kicking a ball around on a lawn….seriously???😅

Honestly, I dont agree with him. The entire point of the modern Olympics was cultural exchange via sports. Adding new sports even if it's just for one Olympic is introducing other nations to other sports and culture.

why should there be lesser sport at the olympics? Why should some sport get the preference over others? Thats unfair to the players

Agree. Most interesting part of Olympics are the “personal best” sports. Shot put, javelin, pole vault, long jump, sprint, etc

if they can give 17*3 medals in swimming, 24*3 medals in basketball, 18*2*3 medals in football. 10*3 in weightlifting then there is place for 2*3 medals for chess in Olympics.

I love chess but I believe the Olympics should only include sports that require physical effort.
If chess is added then why not add other card games or the eSports video games, different games but they all require different use of brain power and no physical effort or even to be fit
Wise take, Olympics should be for legit sports, not intellectual games, otherwise you'd have esports added in no time. Imo all the nonsensical sports taht are just variations of popular ones like 3v3 basketball should ne removed, they should also cancel a big chunk of swimming events, "sports" that are closer to (subjective) artistic representations should also be removed, the Olympics aren't here to rate how well you've chosen your music or done your makeup, it leaves too much room for subjectivity and potential rigged decisions, at that rate they should just allow pro wrestling
